Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Endolum Hacked service ("the Service") operated by Endolum GmbH ("we", "us") at hacked.endolum.io. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. Service Description
Endolum Hacked is a canary document tracking service for breach detection. It allows you to create trap documents that, when opened by an unauthorized party, trigger an alert with information about the person who opened the document. The Service is intended for legitimate security monitoring on networks and systems you own or are authorized to monitor.
2. Account Responsibilities
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. Specifically:
- You may only deploy canary documents on networks, systems, and environments you own or have explicit authorization to monitor.
- You may not use the Service for stalking, harassment, or tracking individuals without a legitimate security purpose.
- You may not use the Service to conduct unauthorized penetration testing or security assessments on third party systems.
- You may not attempt to disrupt the Service or circumvent its security measures.
- You may not use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Free tier

Business tier
- Unlimited canary documents
- Custom filenames and uploaded documents
- Slack, Microsoft Teams, and webhook integrations
- REST API access
- Team workspace with unlimited members
- VPN and proxy detection
- CSV and JSON export
- 1 year alert history
5. Payment Terms
The Business tier costs CHF 149 per user per month, or CHF 1'430 per user per year (annual billing). Payment details and invoicing are handled directly -- contact us at contact@endolum.io to set up a Business account. All prices are in Swiss Francs (CHF) and exclude applicable taxes.
6. Service Availability
We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Free tier comes with no service level agreement (SLA). Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or missed alerts caused by service interruptions.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
- We do not guarantee that canary alerts will be triggered in all circumstances. Network configurations, firewalls, offline document viewing, and other factors may prevent alerts from being generated.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or CHF 100, whichever is greater.
8. Termination and Account Deletion
- You may delete your account at any time through the account settings page.
- Upon account deletion, your personal data, canary documents, and alert history will be permanently deleted.
- We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
- Business tier subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and documentation, is owned by Endolum GmbH. You retain ownership of any documents you upload to the Service. By uploading documents, you grant us a limited license to process and serve them as part of the canary tracking functionality.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. If we make significant changes that affect your rights, we will notify registered users by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at the registered office of Endolum GmbH (Lachen SZ, Switzerland).
